Who we are

Great technology begins with a deep understanding of the human beings who will use it. We never lose sight of the people who will be using our software — everything in our process, from initial specifications through testing and the creation of our knowledge base and support systems, is geared to support our users, because they always have their own unique individualities. We create software products and web services that adjust themselves to the person using them, rather than making him or her conform to some generalized solution.

Our focus on individualized solutions has been built into our DNA since the very beginning. In fact, it was witnessing the confrontation between a particular end user and software totally inappropriate to his needs and strengths which led John LeSieur to take the first steps toward creating what is now People CD, Inc. John’s grandson Zackary, a young man diagnosed with autism, found interacting with software written for a “general” user to be a frustrating and impossible experience. Our success since 2008, and more than 2.5 million downloads, have proven the power of John’s important realization: creating a software package which would be useful and pleasurable for Zac required designing it from the ground up with his special needs in mind.

People CD’s mission is create technology to reorganize world information and adapt it to the end user. Our product development work for people with autism and other special needs is a great example of how we have reorganized technology and adapted to our special needs users. In the months ahead we will expand our offerings to more users and even corporations by providing important innovations.
